2021 Monster Month: Whaaaaaa?!

Whaaaa?! is right! Did you realize Monster Month is back, and it started yesterday? Well it is and it did!

Here is the exciting second piece, a completely traditional watercolor and colored pencil piece of a dumbfounded beast who is just as surprised to be here as you are in seeing him.

You’d be shocked, too, if you just found out that your whole existence was due to some guy’s blog. Who even reads blogs anymore?!

Necking

The birds, but no bees. Bees would just get in the way.

Serious Malarky

Some days it’s appropriate to just remain serious.

The Dog Walker

Sometimes taking your dog for a walk doesn’t always translate into much exercise for the dog.

Green Eggs Season 2 Is Coming!

Anyone out there a fan of Netflix’s Green Eggs & Ham show?

I just found out that season 2 will drop on November 5th of this year! (Thanks for the news, IMDB.com!) It’s hard to believe, but it has already been TWO YEARS since I finished my time working on the season 2 story team. I’m pretty excited to see what the crew has been working on since I left!

In my excitement, I did a new watercolor & colored pencil piece of Sam I Am and Guy Am I.

Sam I Am and Guy Am I are gearing up for a whole new adventure! I could tell you all about it, but then what’s the fun in spoilers?!

Elephant Umbrella

Elephant Umbrella – say THAT five times fast!

Raindrops keep falling on his head. Mostly because it is HARD for an elephant to find an appropriately sized umbrella. I guess it’s true, rainy days and Mondays always get him down. (Look at that – TWO pop song references in ONE paragraph!)
Sure wish we’d get some of that rain here in Los Angeles.

Money Money Money

Everyone get their taxes sent in by today?

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I’d want to get that close to duck tails (wooOOoo). A little ink and watercolor from my brown paper sketchbook.

Bad enough that the IRS wants a cut, but to also have to deal with the Beagle Boys – ugh.

Mama’s Day

A little ol’ dapper bear with some flowers for mama today – Mother’s Day!

Be careful, though. Don’t accidentally get between mama and her grown cub with those flowers. If so, WATCH OUT! You might get an unexpected bear hug!

Be thankful for your mama!
