2021 Monster Month: Grease Monkey

When traveling the galaxy and you’re having engine trouble, hopefully there’s a planet nearby with a garage full of these little guys. They can fix just about anything that comes fluttering and sputtering into their repair docks.

This guy really knows his blarganches from his fleefborgs.

2021 Monster Month: Makin’ It Rain

You ever wonder where those random rain showers come from that even the weather people didn’t predict?

I bless the rains down in Africa.

2021 Monster Month: Whaaaaaa?!

Whaaaa?! is right! Did you realize Monster Month is back, and it started yesterday? Well it is and it did!

Here is the exciting second piece, a completely traditional watercolor and colored pencil piece of a dumbfounded beast who is just as surprised to be here as you are in seeing him.

You’d be shocked, too, if you just found out that your whole existence was due to some guy’s blog. Who even reads blogs anymore?!

Arrrrr!

Today be the official “Talk Like a Pirate Day.” So, shiver your timbers, yo ho ho, and swab those decks, but just be sure you are doin’ it in a high-pitched squeaky voice like these here pirates be doin’.

Sailing the seven seas can be tough when your foe has nine lives.

The Jug Band

“Swing your partner round and round, kick ’em in the knees and throw ’em to the ground!”

Wait, that can’t be right.

They’d really sound good if they were each playing the same song.

A pencil sketch from my sketchbook. Might be fun to one day develop this a bit more and make a nice traditional watercolor painting out of it.

Oh Pluto Where Art Thou?

It’s always so annoying when your dog plays hide and seek without informing you of the game first.

A recent sketch from my sketchbook.

Olly olly oxen free!

Green Eggs Season 2 Is Coming!

Anyone out there a fan of Netflix’s Green Eggs & Ham show?

I just found out that season 2 will drop on November 5th of this year! (Thanks for the news, IMDB.com!) It’s hard to believe, but it has already been TWO YEARS since I finished my time working on the season 2 story team. I’m pretty excited to see what the crew has been working on since I left!

In my excitement, I did a new watercolor & colored pencil piece of Sam I Am and Guy Am I.

Sam I Am and Guy Am I are gearing up for a whole new adventure! I could tell you all about it, but then what’s the fun in spoilers?!

Founding Feather

With a week that began with the United States’ Independence Day, I thought I’d close this patriotic week with a pun.

Having worked up this fowl sketch in my sketchbook recently, it just sort of reminded me of the way some of our nation’s founding fathers looked with their big bushy hair and formal coats. So, consider this as one of our Founding Feathers. (rimshot)

Harumph!

Am I right? You be the judge….
