Chad Frye is an author, illustrator, cartoonist, storyboard artist, and character designer. In short, he is a visual storyteller.
His career began in 1991 when he wrote and illustrated his first children’s book The Fun Bible Search Book…Find Rupert published in 1992 by Barbour & Company. He has worked on over 30 children’s books, and illustrated magazine articles, advertising campaigns, and created internet art for companies as varied as Disney, Warner Bros., Fisher Price, Reading Rainbow, Gerber, Clubhouse Magazine, Answers Magazine, ABC, CBS, Walt Disney’s Comics & Stories, The Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, and Generations of Grace.
In 1997, Chad became a part of the Hollywood animation industry when he first worked at Disney on Mulan. Since then, he has continued to work on film and television productions for Disney Feature Animation, Disney Television Animation, Warner Bros. TV Animation, Nickelodeon, The Third Floor, Bagdasarian Productions, Wild Canary, Splash Entertainment, and Fantoons/Capitol Records.
Most recently, Chad has been illustrating children’s books for an educational company, and he assists the pencilling of an internationally syndicated comic strip.
